Refit

Throughout our career, we have managed the refit or maintenance of many yachts built by Feadship, Lurssen, Amels, Heesen, Royal Denship, Benetti, CRN, San Lorenzo, Azimut, Feretti or by Turkish builders. In all these projects, we have seen the superior aspects and also the chronic problems of many brands. Our experience has shown us how to manage a professional refit process.

The project in question may be your superyachts annual maintenance, 5-year survey, or complex refit/conversion projects. We approach the project with the same professional understanding regardless of the size of the project. Although our method of work varies according to the project needs, in general we manage the process with the following order:

Preparation of the technical specifications,
Preparation of the quotations/contracts,
Selection of the right marina or shipyard for the project,
Preparation of the necessary concept and detail design drawings before agreeing in the contract,
Selection of the most suitable subcontractors for the project, concluding contracts with them and following the progress of the work by our project manager and project engineers,
Provision of all materials and equipment to be used in the project,
Quality control during each work and preparation of ‘work acceptance forms’ after completing each work,
Preparation of a work schedule and tracking the progress of the project according to this schedule,
Submission of weekly progress reports to the customer or its representative,
Preparation of ‘change order’ forms,
Management of Classification Society and Flag State survey processes
Sea trials and the delivery of the boat to the owner before the date specified in the contract.
